1. Remove the engine from the transmission. (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R15M-D].) (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [Y16M-D].) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2. Remove the following parts:

(1) The clutch unit (MT) (See CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2) The drive plate (AT) (See DRIVE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3) The intake-air system (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4) The exhaust system (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5) The primary fuel injector and wiring harness (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
